What is a fire-resistant home?
A fire-resistant home is designed with materials and systems that reduce ignition risk and
slow the spread of fire. Horizon homes use steel framing, non-combustible siding, fire-rated
insulation, and ember-resistant venting — making them ideal for wildfire zones.
Will my insurance cover a fire-resistant steel home?
In most cases, yes. We work with you and your insurance carrier to ensure your settlement
can cover a rebuild using steel materials. Many clients rebuild entirely within their policy
limits — often with upgrades.
How long does the rebuild take?
With our pre-approved plans, streamlined materials, and trained teams, we aim to get
families back home in as little as 6–8 months from contract to move-in (depending on
permitting and site prep).
Who is responsible for getting the permits?
Dicta sunt explicabo. Nemo enim ipsam voluptatem quia voluptas sit aspernatur aut odit aut fugit, sed quia consequuntur. Dicta sunt explicabo. Nemo enim ipsam voluptatem quia voluptas.
What sizes and models do you offer?
We offer 4 core models:
● Model A: 1,000–1,200 sq ft
● Model B: 1,300–1,800 sq ft
● Model C: 2,000–2,500 sq ft
● Model D: 2,500+ sq ft
All models can be customized with different finish levels and layout options.
Can I customize my home and still stay within insurance limits?
Absolutely. Most homeowners start with a base model covered by insurance, then choose
upgrades like solar, smart features, or luxury finishes if they choose to invest more
out-of-pocket.
Do steel homes cost more?
Steel can be cost-competitive or even cheaper when factoring in faster construction, lower
maintenance, and insurance savings. We offer transparent pricing upfront so you can compare
easily.
Are these homes safer than traditional wood-frame houses?
Yes. Steel is non-combustible, does not warp or rot, and resists ember intrusion — which is
a leading cause of wildfire destruction. Many insurers recognize this and offer reduced
premiums as a result.
Can Horizon help with permits and city approvals?
Yes. We provide pre-approved plans designed to speed up the permitting process in wildfire
zones, and we work directly with local jurisdictions on your behalf.
Who actually builds my home?
All Horizon homes are built by certified contractors trained on our system, with oversight
from our internal team to ensure quality control and compliance.
